Dear Fellows of the International College of Surgeons, Colleagues, and ICS Friends:
As the World President of the International College of Surgeons, it is my sincere pleasure to WELCOME all of you to the International College of Surgeons 2025 Biennial World Congress! The THEME of this Scientific Congress is “Cross-Disciplinary - Innovation in Surgery, Sharing Technologies for Transformative Surgical Care”, which will be conducted in one of the very finest venues, Academia. The date of the ICS World Scientific Congress will be 27th November 2025 through 29th November 2025.
I heartily commend the ICS Past World President, ICS Honorary Fellow and current President, ICS Singapore Section, Dr. Elias Tam, and the Executive Committee of the Singapore Chapter for their dedicated efforts to organise and implement this absolutely superb 2025 ICS Biennial World Scientific Congress!
The International College of Surgeons has a ninety (90) year history of serving those global citizens in surgical need, without any bias emanating from race, philosophy, and religion. The ICS is APOLITICAL. Understanding that two-thirds of those in surgical need around the world, the MISSION of the International College of Surgeons is absolutely HUGE. Since the ICS founding in 1935, the rich legacy of the ICS is without parallel and has been, and currently is, recognised by the World Health Organization (WHO), a division of the United Nations, as a Non-State Actor (NSA) in OFFICIAL RELATIONS WITH THE WHO.
The International College of Surgeons is a “far-flung, global entity” with member Fellows in over 100 countries of the world. Its Constitution and Bylaws assure leadership at the local country level to exercise leadership as section leaders desire. This “cuts” to the effectiveness, with local discretion, to fulfilling the core strategy of the International College of Surgeons, which is HUMANITARIAN SURGICAL MISSIONS.
This “Cross-Disciplinary - Innovation in Surgery, Sharing Technologies for Transformative Surgical Care” ICS Biennial World Scientific Congress, MORE THAN EVER, affords ICS Fellows, Colleagues, and Friends the opportunity to come together, discuss current issues, and consider options to better address the HUGE needs of global underserved. It is my sincere hope that you come, participate, and determine future courses of action. It will be an opportunity lost if you do not!
With best wishes,
Dr. Guido Parquet
World President
